The Last Furlong: Daily Mail

The Daily Mail seems to confirm the casting of Harry Treadaway and Rachel in The Last Furlong! They have a more detailed plot as well.

HARRY TREADAWAY and RACHEL HURD-WOOD, who will start filming The Last Furlong, described as a semi-fairy tale in the vein of Edward Scissorhands.

The film’s about a young girl who finds a boy living alone in the woods and discovers that he’s the victim of an ancient curse.

Agnes Merlet will direct the film, which is based on a screenplay by Nick Murphy. It will shoot on locations in Ireland in June.

Ms Hurd-Wood has appeared in the films Perfume and Dorian Gray, while Treadaway was in Fish Tank and the forthcoming drama Pelican Blood.

The Last Furlong Update

Hello! Since there isn’t really any news, I decided to search again for more news about The Last Furlong. Please keep in mind that Rachel’s involvement is still rumored until we get a news announcement or proper confirmation. Last November, this article announced that filming for the film, about the love between two teenagers, would begin March 2010 and that the cast was yet to be announced. This site for Nick Murphy, the writer, says that filming will start “Spring 2010″ and will star Rachel and Harry Treadaway (probably as the two main characters). I really liked him in City of Ember, so I hope this is true. Also, Octagon Films says it will co-produce the film with Fidelite Films in April 2010.  Filming In Ireland, however, has this information with a different date: May 2010. Hope this helps anyone curious about what Rachel’s next project might be. If you find more information, please let me know!
