Dorian Gray TV Spot
You can view a new TV spot for Dorian Grayright here. I added a few screen captures to the gallery. Again, it is hard to tell if the character is Rachel, but I think it is. She looks rather frightening! The trailer gives away major spoilers about her character Sybil, especially if you look carefully, so be warned!
A clip from Dorian Gray with Rachel and Ben Barnes has been released. You can watch it on Youtube right here. I also made screen captures for the gallery. I must say I really love seeing Ben and Rachel together! I think this is the most we have seen Rachel act since Perfume was released in 2006.
They aren’t really scans, but they did take me forever and cost a little to get for the site. If you plan on posting them elsewhere, please provide a link back to Rachel Hurd-Wood Web. Thanks! In other news, Rachel does not appear on the TIFF list of attendees despite having two films being screened there. However, her Dorian Gray and Solomon Kane co-stars, Ben Barnes and James Purefoy, do.
Many thanks to the amazing Kirsty for noticing that Rachel is on the cover of Evening Standard. She found the article and the pictures to go along with it. I would still love magazine scans, but these are more than enough for now! The article is a terrific read. Rachel, again, seems likes a very down-to-earth person. She plans to teach if not act and we learn more about her interests, her sex scene with Ben Barnes (oh no!), what she thinks she’s terrible at (theater and sports), and her brother’s talents. You can read the full text at the link above.
She has just completed the first year of a linguistics degree at UCL and it’s in language she says that her passion truly lies. ‘I wouldn’t be upset if I never acted again,’ she announces. ‘I’ve had an amazing time so far so I’m not regretful, and obviously if there are more roles coming then I’d love to do them, but if not then I’ll teach, so it’s fine.’
She is clearly very bright but, naturally, dismisses it. ‘I’m not like a bloody genius but I did all right,’ she says of her school days at Godalming College. ‘I’m not thick.’ She’s not interested in her own burgeoning celebrity. ‘I’m uncomfortable with the limelight. I’m not the type to go to the places where I know I’ll be seen. I’d rather keep a low profile.’
Is it just me, or is that an acorn tattooed on her forearm in this picture?
Harper’s Bazaar has an article on Dorian Gray and a new, small picture of Rachel as Sybil. I added the scan to the gallery, courtesy of Ben Barnes Fan.Thank you, Rose_Amelie, for letting me know.
If you live in the UK, there is a contest you can enter to win tickets to an advanced screening of Dorian Gray on August 26. Please visit here to find out more information. The movie is rated 15 (UK).
The first production of still of Rachel in Solomon Kane has been released, thanks to Bloody-Disgusting.com. It’s hard to tell whether or not it is Rachel, but I think it is judging from the scenes in the trailer. I hope this means the official trailer will be out soon.
Miss Rachel Hurd-Wood turns19 years old today! We at RHWW would like to wish her a very Happy Birthday and hope she has a wonderful upcoming year.
As for the site: I added a new poster for Dorian Gray to the gallery. Again, Rachel is not in it, but it’s exciting that more and more promotional material for her new movie is being released. Just one more month! As well, I added HQ and untagged pictures from an old photoshoot to the gallery. Thank you, Shootastic!
Lastly, a little bit of interesting information. Jeremy Sumpter, who played Peter Pan, mentioned via his Twitter that there was a little Peter Pan reunion.
August 13. Last few days have been rough, but then Rachel hurd-wood and pj hogan came into my life again! Peter pan reunion at the hogans!
The Dorian Grayofficial website is now up. The new site features the poster I posted a short while ago and the trailer. As well, Momentum Pictures have a site up with the same, plus the movie stills that have been released (nothing new) and production notes. Just one more month until its release!
