London Fashion Week

Hello everyone. I re-added pictures of Rachel attending a party (and what appears to be another event) during London Fashion Week last month. As well, I found one new picture that had not been in the gallery before. All candid pictures of Rachel have also been removed. There were only a few, but I decided that the site needed to focus more on Rachel’s career. Please don’t post links to private pictures of Rachel.

New Layout

Hello everyone. Welcome to the new Rachel Hurd-Wood Web. I decided it was time for change and now the site is powered by Wordpress instead of Cutenews, which didn’t allow visitors to comment. Thank you to Laura for the beautiful layout. So far, only the Information section has been re-added. The rest will follow soon.

Music Video Screen Captures

Since the new screen captures of Rachel in Madeleine Peyroux’s “Give a Little Bit” music video disappeared, I decided to re-upload them and once again thank Laura for kindly donating them to the site. There were captures in the gallery before, but now they have been replaced with higher-quality ones.

Michael J. Bassett Blog Updates

Michael J. Bassett, director of Solomon Kane, has been updating his blog with interesting information regarding the status and promotion of the film, as well as on set pictures. There is no mention of Rachel, but those excited for the movie might be interested in what he has to say. The pictures also show what Solomon Kane will be like. No new news about a trailer yet! Please visit the link to view all his posts. Here is an excerpt.

I’m back in London [...] for a final week of sound mixing on Kane.  We’re doing this in a superb state of the art soundstage in central London with a crew of award winning sound folks [...]  My job during this time is to be ‘ears’ and to try and ensure that the audio of the film reaches parts that the picture can’t.  This has truly been a painstaking process, so much more involved and detailed than anything I’ve done before.  Every nuance and aspect of the sound has been analysed and considered before being included, from the density of the metal of the swords, through to the reverb on voices against wind noise and atmospheric sounds to the massive, shattering roar of a huge beast.
