Post-Production of The Last Furlong Delayed

Irish Film & Television Network report that the post-production of The Last Furlong has been postponed because of Rachel’s getting sick. I hope she is feel better now!

Post production of the Franco/Irish/Swedish co-production ‘The Last Furlong’ has been postponed as a result of lead actress Rachel Hurd-Wood (Peter Pan) falling ill and the completion of principal photography delayed.

Harry Treadaway Twitter

Usually I am careful about so-called celebrity/actor Twitter accounts, but Harry Treadaway’s Twitter account and Formspring account look real to me. Many Rachel fans have been asking him about Rachel as it appears they are both filming in Ireland at the moment. Rachel also won’t add people she doesn’t know on Facebook and values her privacy (understandable!). She also, despite the numerous fake accounts that have appeared, doesn’t have Twitter. Here are some of Harry’s answers:

If I add Rachel on facebook, would she accept me?

Honestly, I don’t think so. She doesn’t add strangers, unless they’re her friends or people she knows. Plus, If you search for her name on FB, you won’t find her, her account is hidden.

why doesn’t rachel wood have twitter?

I don’t know, she doesn’t feel like she needs one, she tries so hard to take care of her privacy

Hows is Rachel Hurd-Wood?

she’s doing good. Fantastic clever girl ;) GO MAE

Woah, I see you care a lot about Rachel, that’s awesome. She’s a brilliant human being and she’s not on Twitter. Off to bed now, take care.

My co-star happens 2 be a very talented n insanely beautiful girl: Rachel Hurd-Wood, both characters, mine and hers, are cursed in some way

Solomon Kane Comments

Thank you to Hugh who translated the nice comments about Rachel and about her character by the director and producer of Solomon Kane. The interview can be found on the official French website linked in the last post.

Michael J. Bassett about the cast of the Crowthorn family :

“Creating this family was really interesting. Peter Postlethwaite is the father, Alice Krige is the mother, Rachel Hurd Wood, Anthony Wilks & Patrick Hurd Wood are the children. They were really good together, as I expected. [...] Rachel has a lot of energy and a lot of humour ans this was really good for the character. She plays with her real brother so the relationship seems more true. Looking at them was a real happiness. She has got a lot of complicity with Pete. The family became more and more real every day and these personal links gave more relief to the drama. ”

Samuel Hadida about Meredith :

“The character of Meredith brings the innocence and the purity and because of her, Solomon takes the guns again. This cold man will become more humain because of her.”

Happy Birthday Rachel

Miss Rachel Hurd-Wood turns 19 years old today! We at RHWW would like to wish her a very Happy Birthday and hope she has a wonderful upcoming year.

As for the site: I added a new poster for Dorian Gray to the gallery. Again, Rachel is not in it, but it’s exciting that more and more promotional material for her new movie is being released. Just one more month! As well, I added HQ and untagged pictures from an old photoshoot to the gallery. Thank you, Shootastic!

Lastly, a little bit of interesting information. Jeremy Sumpter, who played Peter Pan, mentioned via his Twitter that there was a little Peter Pan reunion.

August 13. Last few days have been rough, but then Rachel hurd-wood and pj hogan came into my life again! Peter pan reunion at the hogans!

Miscellaneous Updates

First of all, some website business. The site, as well as my other sites, got hacked twice this past month and it was difficult trying to get things together again. If you still have problems viewing the gallery, let me know. I have read comments and have not ignored them. The rest of the website is still in the process of being re-added, so there will be broken links.

Secondly, I got an e-mail from Olivia with some information about Rachel’s future acting plans. She talked to the casting director of Dorian Gray and asked her about Rachel. She was told that Rachel is really unsure about taking up acting as a career and is torn between a career in acting and a career in psychology (and is leaning towards the latter). She sounds like a smart girl!
