Filmink Scans
Scans from the latest issue of Filmink are now in the gallery. They are from Tomorrow-Movies (and Dylan). Thank you! The last page includes a new promotional image from the film.
Hello, everyone. Tomorrow, When the War Began is being featured in the current issue of Filmink (Australia). You can see previews at their website right here. If anyone has the issue and wouldn’t mind scanning the pages, I would very much appreciate it!
Rachel was in the September 2009 issue of Little White Lies magazine. I managed to get captures of the digital issue (except for the first part of the article). Also, thanks to Marie, I added LQ pictures from the beautiful photoshoot to the gallery, as well as an extra, larger picture! I can’t believe this was missed. In the article, Rachel talks about being typecast, bugging Alan Rickman, being a student, and more.
Edit - A very big thank you to Jess from Nicole’s Magic for bigger picures from the photoshoot!
“I would really like to play someone contemporary as I’ve done lots of period pieces. I would love to play an American bimbo or a grimy Londoner. But I’m probably more suited in people’s minds to playing a corseted victim.”
Hello, everyone. A small-ish scan of Rachel in Dazed & Confused is now in the gallery. Thank you, Frith! I think we might get a bigger version soon as you can’t really read the text. This is nice for now, though!
According to this article, Rachel is featured alongside other young talent in Dazed & Confused magazine. I am currently on the lookout for scans and I hope I can find some soon!
Dazed also explores the wildly inventive world of director Wes Anderson and his creative collaborators, ahead of his keenly anticipated Fantastic Mr Fox, while a bolt of youthful creativity comes in the form of a portfolio of young British actors shot by Matt Irwin, including rising stars, Nicholas Hoult, Imogen Poots, Aaron Johnson and Rachel Hurd-Wood. The fashion stories also draw on historic periods of cinema, from the spirit of rebellion in 50s Hollywood, to a painterly take on the sumptuous ruffles, pearls and postures of Tudor England.

Instyle UK Scans
As I mentioned in my last post, Rachel is in the new issue of Instyle UK. Annika was kind enough to scan the feature for the site. Please visit her website, Jennifer Conelly Fan! Thank you so much! There is a short interview in the magazine (to go with the beautiful pictures) with Rachel. She talks about Peter Pan, her costume for Dorian Gray, and how she lied about being allergic to alcohol so her peers would leave her alone when she was younger. I guess we can take that fact off the Facts page!
Annika informed me that Rachel is currently featured in the October issue of Instyle UK. Jennifer Conelly is on the cover. Hopefully we will get scans, so check back soon!

ES Magazine Scans
They aren’t really scans, but they did take me forever and cost a little to get for the site. If you plan on posting them elsewhere, please provide a link back to Rachel Hurd-Wood Web. Thanks! In other news, Rachel does not appear on the TIFF list of attendees despite having two films being screened there. However, her Dorian Gray and Solomon Kane co-stars, Ben Barnes and James Purefoy, do.
